And that’s why a job with plants is in high demand right now. I couldn’t be more thankful to be making gardens during this so-called pandemic. We don’t have a lot of arguments while poised over bushes, and divergent opinions can still coalesce to create beautiful outcomes. Juniper shrubs will retain their stately elegance, and Forsythia, its formidable early bloom, regardless of what humans are plotting. The resourceful ones survey their square footage, and dig deeper for earth-bound solutions. It’s okay to be confused but stay open. The average working man might be a treasure trove of wisdom. Yes, that regular guy “doing stuff” for you might reveal a sacred text in code. Or she’s a woman, like me, who has seen a few things ... and is inexplicably working magic in your yard. If we really understood what it is to be a Vermonter, we might more readily turn to elders who’ve worked here for decades. They’ve been debunking crap for a long time. Nothing much to advertise except that health is our natural state. For those who can deal with it & calm down, turn off the television, turn off the oppressors; build your own world, beginning with your very own cellular vitality.
