2017 Chevy

Never say never. And there is no limit to the number of changes that can occur within a calendar year. First of all, I want to thank my team, all those who kept me flush with wheels this year, despite the fact that I could not afford a new car. Thanks to my daughter Anna Ridgway Snipes, and her father for selling me a Honda for a dollar. Thanks to my son Wilder Yost & daughter-in-law Dana Hart, who offered up their compact Suzuki, when the Honda died and I had to coast it downhill three miles to a gas station. Lastly, thanks to John Cooley for helping me out in so many ways, and with repairs, and for introducing me to master craftsman Dan Barrows, who finally found me a truck. I think back on a year of being stranded at jobs, often at the end of a ten hour work day of back breaking physical labor, and for each tow truck operator from Blakeman’s who called me, and connected. Who fashioned makeshift tools or hammered socket wrench parts into submission, so that I could get my car back on the road. Not being able to make phone calls, or call for help in traditional ways, did not help my cause. People like me with disabilities, we soldier on, more often than not, stumbling through ordinary crisis situations, numb with shame. Thanks to the people who still think I’m cool, despite the fact that the majority of my hours are spent being not-cool. I plan to write a book to fill you in on what it feels like to be “not in a pod”. So don’t pretend single people haven’t been marginalized, along with other vulnerable groups. I’m still digging through that rubble. Thankfully the ingenuity of the human spirit kicks in automatically to problem solve as all known systems fail. Our mystical line in to a collective wisdom inexplicably named: God, or “dog” backwards, steps forward as others exit. Get with the program. You may need this go-to next. So when I was shut out, “source creator of all that is” guided my errant planes onto the landing strip. End of religious section. You can do your own personal research to verify my results. Who would have thought I’d end up with a Chevy? I know I’ve used this manufacturing brand freely, to spice up a song or two, but little did I know how I was tapping into my future. You should be too. We’re falling into a sink hole of regurgitated lies. I’m tired of saying “unplug”. And yet, this is so very much to the point. It’s all too easy here, to circle the wagons & recede into an echo chamber of group think. Why not think of Dan who built up his business during the wild west of Vermont? He’s the real deal. The freedom to flourish unsupervised is where true creativity and mastery start. Note who’s accomplished extraordinary things, before supporting any law bent on locking things down.
